Self Reliant Diver Course (SRD)

All divers would benefit from this course, whether they want to dive alone or not. In reality on most dives, at some point, divers unwittingly find themselves some distance away from their buddy so effectively on their own.

The purpose of the Self Reliant Diver specialty is to recognise and accept the role of the buddy system and its contributions to diver safety while identifying and developing self reliance and independence during dives.

Far from the madding crowds you’ll have the joy of freedom and independance that confident, competent and qualified divers enjoy through the NEW Self Reliant Diver program.

During this course you will learn:
The value and application of the buddy system.
Potential risks of diving alone, and how to manage those risks.
The value of equipment redundancy and what back up equipment is needed.
  Dive planning and gas management.

Solo Diving is here… ideal for keen Photographers and Videographers that want to escape the bubble-blowing crowds to get that undisturbed competition winning shot…

The long running argument whether it is safe is over – of course it is, if you do it properly!
